Porcelain Veneers

How much do porcelain veneers cost?

At CosMediSmile, our premium porcelain veneers are priced from just $749 per tooth. Whilst others are known to charge up to $3,000 per tooth, we believe that high-quality smile makeovers shouldn’t cost the earth.

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin, ceramic porcelain covers that fit directly over your natural teeth. Designed to cosmetically enhance your smile, veneers can be used to address a range of dental concerns, restoring the shape, colour and alignment of your smile.

What are veneers made from?

Veneers can be made from two materials:
1. Porcelain Veneers are made from ceramic porcelain.
2. Composite Veneers are made from a resin material.

At CosMediSmile, we only use custom porcelain veneers. Whilst it’s true that porcelain veneers are more expensive than composite, they are stronger, last far longer, require fewer repairs, are stain-resistant and deliver a much more natural appearance.

How long does it take to get veneers?

You will need three appointments to get porcelain veneers. The first appointment will be a consultation, the second appointment will be to prepare the veneers and the final appointment will be to apply them. The entire process will take approximately 3 weeks.

What problems do veneers solve?

Veneers can be used to address a variety of dental concerns including:
Stained & Discoloured Teeth
Teeth Gaps
Broken, Cracked & Chipped Teeth
Misaligned & Crooked Teeth
Small or Short Teeth
Thin Enamel
Teeth Crowding & Overbite

Can I get veneers if my teeth are crooked or broken?

In most cases, yes. Veneers can be a great way to restore teeth that are crooked, chipped or broken. Our free smile assessment can determine if the structure of your teeth are right for veneers.

Do I have to get my teeth shaved down for veneers?

There’s a misconception that veneers require your teeth to be shaved right down to ‘fangs’ before application. This is not the case. For most clients, minimal teeth shaving is required in order to prepare the surface for the veneers to grip effectively. In cases of very crooked teeth, or if you want to significantly reduce the size of your teeth, then more shaving may be required.

Are veneers permanent?

Yes, veneers are a permanent smile solution. Whilst the veneers themselves will need to be replaced in up to 20 years’ time, the procedure itself is irreversible.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

Porcelain veneers can last for up to 20 years, provided they are well looked after.

How long does it take to get veneers?

At CosMediSmile, our porcelain veneers process can take as little as one week.   You’ll need four appointments – one for your smile design, one for your teeth preparation, one for your veneers to be applied, and one final follow up to refine and perfect your smile.

Can I get composite veneers instead of porcelain?

At CosMedismile, we only use custom porcelain veneers because they provide a superior outcome for our clients when compared to composite veneers. Stain-resistant and highly durable, porcelain veneers deliver a longer-lasting, more natural-looking smile than composite.

What is the difference between veneers and crowns?

Veneers and crowns are both great solutions for a smile makeover. The difference between them is the area of your teeth they cover. Veneers cover just the front surface of your teeth, whereas a crown covers the entire surface of your teeth. Veneers can only be applied to your natural teeth, whereas a crown can be applied over a dental implant to effectively replace a natural tooth.

Do veneers look natural?

Yes, high quality, custom-crafted porcelain veneers do look natural. Our porcelain veneers are crafted to reflect light, just as natural tooth enamel does. CosMediSmile technology enables you to see the outcome of your smile before you start treatment, so you can rest assured of natural looking results.

Are porcelain veneers painful?

No. Venner treatments are accompanied by local anaesthetic to ensure your comfort throughout.  Some clients do experience some slight tooth sensitivity in the days following their veneer fitting, but this sensitivity generally settles quickly.
